Hey there! If you’re reading this, chances are you love running or are just getting into it; looking for a way to go faster for longer, make it feel easier, more enjoyable, or less injury-prone. Whatever your goals, I’m here to help.
My goal is to provide a safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive environment where athletes of all levels can achieve their goals injury-free.
I'm passionate about promoting a sustainable fitness lifestyle. I strive to inspire and empower runners to reach their “peek” potential while respecting and nurturing our planet. I seek to promote a holistic green mindset to running.
I'm an England Athletics Running Coach (CiRF), with experience coaching individuals and groups of all ability levels. I have experience working with men and women, through various 'life phases' such as returning to running postpartum (having had a baby) and the changes the body goes through during menopause.
I am honoured to hold the role of Training Secretary for Vegan Runners UK, a national running club with over 3,100 members.
I am also a Director of Bristol Cats and Dogs Home and Trustee of the Bristol Animal Rescue Centre.
My passions are helping people, animals (and a little bit of running too!).
When I first considered running, I was very unfit and didn’t do any exercise at all. I had poor mental health and I was drinking too much. One day, I bounced off the bottom of the barrel and decided enough was enough. If I didn't make changes in my life I was facing into serious problems. I wanted to get in shape, so I started the NHS Couch to 5K programme. Over the 9 weeks, I built my fitness and discovered the joy of running. I joined the Vegan Runners club and began running with them on weekends at parkrun. I stopped drinking, cleaned up my nutrition and the transformation was incredible!
I progressed from 5K to my first race, the Great Bristol 10K. It was an incredible experience with supportive spectators, live bands, and fellow runners. From there, I ran my first half marathon in Cardiff with a good friend. It was a chilly winter morning, and the sense of achievement was unforgettable.
I was coached for my first ultramarathon by a fellow Vegan Runner, who is a England Athletics coach. She transformed my running, in terms of technique and my approach to physical training.
Since then, I now race frequently. I've participated in marathons and ultramarathons, although my favourite distances are 10K and half marathons. I adore trail running through muddy hilly rugged countryside. Running has transformed my life, filling it with joy and happiness, new friends and wonderful adventures, and I look forward to being part of your journey too!
That’s exactly why I became a coach: to share the joy of running with others.
